She imagines a vibrant community where sensory professionals worldwide can connect, collaborate, and share knowledge. Her desire is for SSP to become the cornerstone of professional growth and development in sensory science by creating a platform where members feel supported, inspired, and equipped to excel  

 

Biographical Statement​

Chrisly Philip currently serves as the SSP regional coordinator for the state of Texas. For the past six years, she has organized engaging regional connects that foster ​networking and professional development. She has a special interest in exploring how digital tools like AI and machine learning can be leveraged within sensory science to uncover and accelerate insights. At the 2020 SSP Conference, she co-led a workshop on evaluating the digital and AI start-up space, and in 2022 she presented key industry learnings with emerging digital technologies at the Sensometrics WorkshopAs Internal Communications Chair, she is excited to develop and execute communication strategies to drive engagement and foster strong sense of community.  

Chrisly is a Manager for the Sensory & Consumer Experience team at PepsiCo. In her role, she collaborates closely with product developers, business stakeholders, and sensory colleagues to ensure that key business decisions are guided by the consumer voice. Before joining PepsiCo, she worked as a sensory scientist for Kellogg North America and as a product developer for Yum! Restaurants International. She has over 12 years of sensory and consumer experience and holds B.S. and M.S. in Food Science from Texas A&M University.
