The Global Outreach Committee provides outreach activities to sensory and consumer science professionals outside of North America and/or adjacent professional organizations to foster and broaden SSP membership. 

2024-2026 Vision: Comprehend the most common cross cultural and future needs to welcome members from around the globe, to continue even better fortifying professional global networking, foster SSP in regional international events and set a strategy to progress membership dues for international members. 

Biographical Statement

Victoria Coutiño was born in México city and living in, holds a BD in food chemistry, MSc in food science with many years of progressive Sensory and Human Science career. She has a track record of delivering exceptional results in innovation launches and product refinement and on the design of research with different approaches, such as food design, sensory ethnography, culinary and others.  

Victoria fosters collaboration by promoting open communication and mutual respect, my leadership is characterized by the ability to inspire and empower team members. 

Her decision-making process is founded in as a forward thinker and growing mindset.

  • October 2022 CoFounder of 5 Sense.i advisory, Sensory and Human Insights advisory to leverage and develop leading-edge research which offers understanding of people needs. 
  • 2022-2024 SSP Global Outreach Chair, Member at large. 
  • 2023–2025 Coordinator committee of the Sensory Latin American Network 
  • 2016-2020 LATAM Sensory & Consumer Product Insights, Director at PepsiCo ​​

Victoria designed and steered the execution of consumer & sensory research projects for food and beverage categories in LATAM that enabled confident business decisions for breakthrough innovation. She has set strategic direction for Sensory & Consumer science group while achieving balance, flexibility, and focus of resources to continually improve organizational effectiveness, and to deliver the annual commercialization plan.
