Emphasizing inclusivity and global outreach, our SSP community celebrates diversity, ensuring every member feels empowered to contribute and have a voice in shaping the organization's future. Through interactive forums and meaningful collaborations, I aim to cultivate a strong sense of community, making learning and networking enriching and accessible for all. Together, we will keep the conversation going, building a spirited environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and continuous advancement in our field.
Biographical Statement
Alex Maxwell is a passionate sensory and consumer scientist with over a decade of experience in the CPG industry. He has honed his expertise at Nestlé Purina, Anheuser-Busch, Danone, and currently Mars Pet Nutrition, where he serves as a Sensory Science Capabilities Scientist for the Global Consumer Technical Insights team. Alex excels in connecting products with consumers through mixed methods research, driving innovation that delights. He is particularly passionate about global system sustainability, circular packaging development, and consumer personalization at scale. Additionally, Alex has been actively involved in SSP conference planning in 2022 and 2024, most recently leading the Exhibits and Sponsorships Committee. In his free time, Alex enjoys rollerblading through St. Louis area parks, tending to his native plant landscape, and cultivating vegetable and flower gardens. You might find him exploring the local food and coffee scene, grabbing a cocktail at a dive bar, or hopping a flight to his next travel destination.
